Chris Eubank Jr honoured the rehydration clause in place for his fight with Conor Benn despite the fight being cancelled amid his rival's failed drugs test. The chaotic saga kicked off on Wednesday when it emerged that Benn had tested positive for a banned substance in August, throwing the long awaited grudge match into doubt.

Sure enough, despite the insistence of Eddie Hearn and Benn's team the bout could still go ahead, it was called off on Thursday after the British Boxing Board of Control refused to sanction it.The fight had already been questioned before this week, with Chris Eubank Sr publicly pleading with his son to withdraw from the fight over the catchweight agreement which meant he'd have to cut down to 157 lbs.

Furthermore, a clause in place meant he would also be on the scales 24 hours after the weigh in, with a limit to how much weight he could put on.
