Savannah Marshall believes all athletes who fail drug tests should face a stiff ban, after a random anti-doping test found traces of a fertility drug in Conor Benn’s system.This discovery resulted in the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) prohibiting the highly anticipated ‘legacy’ bout between Benn and Chris Eubank Jr, forcing it to be postponed to a later date.

Benn has remained adamant that he is a ‘clean’ fighter, despite the discovery that came from a test taken by VADA (the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association).Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn emphasised in a statement that the 26-year-old has not been suspended by the BBBofC due to the fact that it does not recognise independent VADA testing.
