Emergency services were called to the Keyham area of the city just after 6pm after witnesses reported gunshots. Tragically, Devon and Cornwall Police this evening confirmed a gunman had shot dead five people.
It is thought he then killed himself, although this has not been confirmed. PlymouthLive reports a child under 10 was among those killed and the majority of the dead were not known to the gunman.
