Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer and Aston Villa are reportedly preparing a £40m bid for the 23-year-old.
Abraham may have finished last season as Chelsea's joint-top scorer in all competitions, but he largely struggled for game-time after Frank Lampard was replaced by Thomas Tuchel in January.The England international made just four starts and seven appearances in total under Tuchel and he was left out of the squad entirely for both the FA Cup and Champions League finals.
As a result, Abraham is expected to leave and the Mirror are reporting that he could return to Villa Park. Abraham starred on loan at Villa two seasons ago, with his 25 league goals helping them win.
