Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has explained why he turned down the opportunity to manage Manchester United.Ancelotti spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson when the former United boss decided to retire back in 2013.Though Ancelotti, who has managed the likes of PSG, Juventus, and Chelsea, instead opted to take over at Real Madrid.The current Toffees manager said: "I can say that I still keep a fantastic relationship with Sir Alex, and we met when he decided to stop (retire)."But I was close to Real Madrid, and so I appreciate the fact that at that time he talked to me.
