A cannibal who is serving a life sentence for the manslaughter of a mum-of-four had his bid for release denied. David Harker had his application for freedom rejected after Helen's Law was enforced earlier this year, which makes it more difficult for killers to be granted for parole if they refuse to reveal the location of their victim's body, according to Teesside Live.
The legislation is named after Helen McCourt, a 22-year old insurance clerk whose body has never been found since her murderer refuses to reveal its whereabouts, despite his conviction for the killing back in 1989.
