Campaigning mum calls out Humza Yousaf for 'breaking promise' to help medical cannabis fight

A campaigning Lanarkshire mum has blasted the First Minister for 'breaking a promise' to help fund lifesaving medical cannabis for her severely epileptic son.Lisa Quarrell met with Humza Yousaf last year while he was still Scotland's Health Minister and claims he gave assurances that he would try and help cut through the red tape around the drug being prescribed on the NHS.The East Kilbride mum-of-two is under huge financial strain each month as she has to source £1500 for a private cannabis oil prescription to treat 11-year-old Cole Thomson’s rare form of epilepsy.Lisa has now been fighting for five years for government support for Cole's medicine to be NHS-prescribed.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
