Budweiser is not airing a Super Bowl ad for the first time in more than 30 years

The Super Bowl won’t be the same this year after Budweiser announced that it would not be airing a commercial during the game for the first time in nearly four decades.

In a sign of the changing times we live in, several other big hitters have a confirmed they’ll be giving the biggest TV audience of the year a miss..

The ads for this Sunday’s clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas Chiefs are a big part of the occasion. A 30-second slot during the game can cost an eye watering €5 million to get in front of a TV audience that was last year close to 100 million.
