wasps with the country set to be plagued by infestations this summer.The pests normally reach their peak in August and September but people have been warned to prepare for them earlier this year due to the inconsistent weather.Insurance firm Aviva said the changeable weather may led to a surge in wasp populations in the peak summer months.

The company said it dealt with almost 13,000 infestation incidents between April and October in 2020, more than half of which were in July and August, the Daily Express reports.

JG Pest Control added that the inconsistent weather has led to a drop in wasp-related incidents, which could lead to a surge in numbers in July and August.
