Scores of revellers hit towns and cities across England over the first Bank Holiday since restrictions were eased - while thousands of students went wild for an annual drinking event in the park.
The booze-fuelled ‘Caesarian Sunday’ event happened on Jesus Green in Cambridge despite current Covid restrictions. Students lit barbecues, congregated in huge groups and drunk booze as they partied.
The event is at least eight decades old and usually takes place on the Sunday of the first May Bank Holiday weekend. It comes as armies of Brits desperate for a night out flooded the streets of multiple cities in the country.
