As the UK is expected to have the hottest day of the year so far, rising temperatures have increased the existence of huge toxic plants which can burn the skin and cause horrific blisters.
The plants have been found across across the country as Brits enjoy a sweltering heatwave. Hogweed, which can tower 23ft tall, can cause horrific third-degree burns, ulcers and even blindness – the deadly plants are on the rise especially across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Somerset and other rural counties.
A River Trust expert said: "It is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most dangerous plant in Britain." Parents have been warned to stay vigilant and keep their children away from the plants and avoid touching them.
