A child was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Gorton. The crash happened on Levenshulme Road, near the Ryder Brow train station, at around 8.45am this morning (Friday).

Police and paramedics were called to the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers responded to a collision between a child and car.
