A nine-year-old boy died instantly when a 4x4 driven by his dad fell down a hill and overturned at an off-road adventure course, an inquest heard, throwing him from the vehicle.
Jake Allen suffered 'extreme head injuries' after his father, Simon, lost control of the Land Rover Discovery at Coney Green Farm 4X4 Offroad Site in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcs.
The modified vehicle stalled as Simon navigated a steep incline, an inquest was told, before rolling backwards, hitting a tree stump and turning over three or four times.
The schoolboy's father wept as he told Worcestershire Coroner's Court how he watched his son die during the weekend off-roading holiday he had helped organise.
