A brute has been jailed after holding a knife against his partner's throat and forcing her to hand over car keys.Dean Bryson, who had been drinking, fled from the woman's Airdrie home in the vehicle.Bryson, 24, appeared from custody at Airdrie Sheriff Court and was jailed for 30 months.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He produced a kitchen knife but at first didn't do anything with it."Then, as the woman continued to ask him to leave, he held the knife to her throat and stated, 'this is the way it's going to go.

Give me the f*****g car keys'."She then provided the keys and Bryson left in her vehicle."The victim was in a distressed state and told a neighbour to contact the police."Officers spotted Bryson in the driver's seat in another street in Airdrie.
