Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.Police in West Lothian are asking people to be vigilant as they investigate claims of bogus workmen defrauding people.Between Sunday, November 1 and Tuesday, November 3, an elderly man was defrauded of a four figure sum of money by workmen who had agreed to carryout work at his address in the Peveril Rise area of Livingston but failed to do so.Detective Constable Tony Gilhooley said: “This is a despicable crime and I am appealing to the public and local residents within the Peveril Rise area to get in touch if they can assist our enquiries.
