Husband Andrew initially denied any wrongdoing but was later found guilty in 2019. He was found guilty of murder and jailed for life after an investigation from cold case detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.A property in St Leonards, Dorset, was excavated on Wednesday October 5 2022, leading to the discovery of human remains, including fragments of a person's teeth.
The property was occupied by Andrew Griggs from July 2001, moving there following the initial inquiry from police into the disappearance of Debbie.
On Friday October 14 the remains underwent a post-mortem, where the fragments were confirmed as belonging to Debbie by specialist odontologists.
