Theatres, museums, festivals and cultural centres will receive £8.6m as part of a major boost to the arts across Greater Manchester.
A total of 35 organisations will receive the money through the combined authority’s culture fund, which is aimed at supporting the ‘lifeblood’ of communities.

The culture and creative industries contribute £1.4bn to the local economy every year. Several leading cultural hotspots and events in Manchester will get a slice of the funding, such as HOME, Manchester International Festival (MIF) and Manchester Pride.
