Big Brother's Nikki Grahame 'couldn't walk up stairs' before tragic death

Big Brother star Imogen Thomas has paid a touching tribute to her co-star Nikki Grahame after revealing she wasn't able to walk upstairs before her tragic death.Imogen, 39, has spoken out about her friend after the pair formed a close bond while starring on the Channel 4 show in 2006, living together in the Borehamwood based house for several weeks.Nikki tragically passed away on April 9, 2021 with anorexia after battling the disease for her entire life.

She was just 38 years old.Imogen has now opened up about how she desperately tried to save her friend's life - even trying to get her sectioned - when she relapsed with her eating disorder in 2020.She told The Sun: "She deteriorated so much, she didn’t have any control over it, she was so ill."When she tried to walk up the stairs she couldn’t move her legs and had to pick them up with her hands.

She called me a few weeks before she died saying she wanted to die."She didn’t want to be anorexic, she really did want to fight this but there was a part in her head that just couldn’t do it."Nikki had been discharged from hospital just one day before she died in her sleep at home after chatting to her mother, Susan, on the phone in the middle of the night.The reality star had been trying to get better and said that being in hospital didn't help her because "the patients would have a competition to see who can be the thinnest".Susan recently told OK!

Magazine how she had heard her final moments on the phone before she passed away.She said: "I was the last person to speak to Nikki.
