The bid to have the height of turbines at a windfarm development in the Glenkens increased is heading to Holyrood. Energiekontor UK has lodged an appeal with the Scottish Government over its planned development at Glenshimmeroch near Dalry.
It comes after the council failed to make a decision to increase the height of the 10 windmills to 200m within the required time frame.
The German firm was granted planning permission to develop the site in 2019, however at that point the maximum height of the turbines was 150m.
It then lodged a bid to make them taller, which also ended up at the Scottish Government due to the council failing to make a decision.
