Amanda Holden has witnessed desperate families fleeing war as she reports from the Ukraine border.The Britain’s Got Talent judge spent time at a refugee camp in Medyka in Poland.Amanda is risking her life to be there so she can interview people for her new podcast about the war.Speaking on the phone just metres from Ukrainian soil, she has given an emotional interview about what she has seen.Heart FM presenter Amanda said: "I am little watching people trickling in from over the border."It’s extraordinary to witness how quickly people have got together.
There’s a whole village here."There are stalls and stalls of food and clothes. I’ve seen things from Asda and Tesco. It’s amazing where it’s all come from.
People are serving teas and coffees and hot food."Every single thing has been thought up. There are even dog leads and dog bowls and toys for kids.
There is nothing that hasn’t been thought of."Amanda launched her podcast after being contacted by a woman in Ukraine on social media.The star was then determined to give people affected by the conflict a platform.Since then she has made seven episodes of Ukraine’s Hidden Voices.Amanda jetted to Poland to see first hand what is happening and interview people.When it launched, she said: "I wanted to use this podcast to speak with mums, dads, sons and daughters about what is happening on the ground in Ukraine."At this time it’s vital that we don’t turn away, but we turn towards them and hear their stories and try to help in any way we can.
