Bert Belasco, who starred as the contractor Charles Whitmore and love interest of Nadine Ellis' character on the BET sitcom Let's Stay Together, has died.
He was 38. According to his father, Belasco died Sunday of an apparent aneurysm while a Virginia hotel, according to a report from TMZ.
He was in town to work on a movie, he said. Belasco also had recurring roles on the Kylie Bunbury-starring baseball drama Pitch at Fox in 2016 and on the Showtime comedy-club drama I'm Dying Up Here in 2018.
He appeared on other shows including House, Justified, Key and Peele, NCIS: New Orleans and Superstore as well. Let's Stay Together, created by Jacque Edmonds Cofer, ran on BET for four seasons, from 2011-14, and Belasco starred on 52 episodes.
