A woman who was cruelly branded an egg head by school bullies is in the running to be crowned Miss Great Britain. Chloe Ashford-Smith was taunted at school over her hair loss, with classmates dubbing her "Humpty Dumpty".
She was even once humiliated in an assembly for wearing a hat to hide her thinning patches, Grimsby Telegraph reported. Now the 26-year-old, who is manager of Papa's Fish and Chips in Cleethorpes, is a regular on the beauty pageant scene and is the current Miss Lincolnshire.
Chloe suffers from alopecia, a physical health condition that causes her hair to fall out. It is often associated with stress and anxiety and while there is no cure, treatments are available to slow down the loss of hair.
