with organisers assuring festival-goers in March that there were no plans to cancel. As the situation grew worse and lockdown restrictions extended, Reading and Leeds was ultimately cancelled for 2020 and will no longer go ahead on the last weekend of August.
But, fans will still get to see some of their favourites in action at the much-loved festival, as BBC has confirmed plans to dig into the festival’s archives and broadcast epic sets from previous performers.
Between August 28 and 30, when Reading and Leeds was due to go ahead, fans can tune into BBC where sets from the likes of Billie Eilish, The 1975 and Foo Fighters will be shown.
