BBC has been hit by over 100,000 complaints over their extensive coverage of Prince Philip's death last week.Addressing the complaints, a BBC spokesperson said: “We are proud of our coverage and the role we play during moments of national significance.”After news of the Duke of Edinburgh's death broke on Friday afternoon, the broadcaster cancelled their pre-arranged schedule for the evening.
Instead, over the next 24 hours on BBC television and radio channels, a series of features dedicated to Prince Philip's life were broadcast.
