BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty was "screaming in pain" when she went through the procedure of having a coil fitted. The 46-year-old had the contraceptive device inserted into her body but was not given an anaesthetic.
Although she usually has a "high pain threshold", Naga confessed she fainted two times from the extreme pain she felt. "I won't go into all the details, but my screams were so loud that my husband tried to find out what room I was in to make it stop," she said. "He said that those in the waiting room hearing my screams looked horrified.
