BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty mortified as she bursts out laughing at cancer quip

Naga Munchetty was left embarrassed by her own actions as she laughed loudly at a brain cancer joke live on the BBC Breakfast on Saturday - 23 July.The 47-year-old was joined on the red sofa by cancer survivor Laura Nuttall, mum Nicola and sister Gracie.Laura was incredibly proud that she'd managed to prove her doctor wrong who'd told her that she wouldn't survive, let alone achieve a 2:1 degree while going through chemotherapy.READ MORE: BBC Breakfast fans fume as Naga Munchetty 'repeatedly interrupts' devoted firemanThe close family were explaining the highs and lows - including some "bad memories" where they'd noticed Laure had been unconscious after suffering a fit.Speaking about the trauma, to how far her sister had come, Gracie said: "It was horrible, it was literally the worst moment ever but to watch her go up on those stairs and get to graduate makes everything worth it."Looking at the siblings who appeared to be close to tears during the emotional interview, Naga asked: "Are you two much closer now?"With a giggle and no hesitation, Gracie firmly replied: "Yeah."The host continued: "Where you properly like buffing heads before?""We were really competitive and it just sort of all changed," added Gracie as sister Laura chimed in: "The dynamic changed."While mum Nicola commented: "Gracie always wanted what Laura had until she got brain cancer and then she thought, 'no you're alright'".Naga couldn't contain her outburst as she let out a "roaring" laugh at mum Nicola's quip.Embarrassed that she'd seemingly been unable contain her fit of giggles at what had so far proved to be a sensitive moment, the TV star apologised to the family.For more of the latest showbiz and TV news from the Daily Star, make sure you sign up.
