BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt experienced quite the awkward exchange live on air, resulting in the crew intervening post his co-host's playful jest.
On the Saturday (November 26) instalment of the much-loved morning programme, Charlie rejoined presenter Nina Warhurst to present the latest news of the day.
However, proceedings took a quirky turn just before a segment when Nina jovially probed Charlie on his career goals. Speaking to those tuning in, she started: "It's 12 minutes past 8, now if you are looking for a new job." She then pitched the question to Charlie, asking him: "Are you looking for a new job?" Caught completely by surprise, Charlie admitted, "I wasn't expecting that," which triggered fits of giggles from Nina.
The situation heightened as Charlie looked bewildered around the set before turning to weatherman Simon for rescue, saying: "Umm I don't know, Simon help me, am I looking for a new job?", reports OK!.
