Naga Munchetty emphasised the need for 'a bit of calm' on today's episode (November 30) of BBC Breakfast. Appearing on the Saturday broadcast alongside her usual co-host Charlie Stayt, the pair had been engaging with an item featuring photographs of dogs from Battersea in need of homes over the festive period.
Charlie then offered some extra context regarding the imagery broadcasted, notably about a footstool associated with one of the dog minders, which had been upholstered with fabric from Buckingham Palace curtains, reports the Express. "Yeah, I like detail," Naga stated before issuing her plea.
She transitioned the conversation towards the weather updates, directing her comments to meteorologist Sarah Keith-Lucas after concluding the dog segment. "Things have been changing Sarah," Naga said while motioning with her arm as she encouraged the weather presenter to inject 'a bit of calm' into her forecast. "I think people really would appreciate a bit of calm, I think." This interaction took place shortly after viewers of BBC Breakfast expressed their own wishes about the show.
Some viewers were left frustrated due to an extended on-air apology that aired today in the middle of the show, and addressed several recent errors in the BBC's weather reporting.
