In the latest broadcast, Sally, 53, informed viewers of significant snow-related travel disruptions, noting that Manchester Airport had to 'temporarily close' its runways due to intense snowfall.
Her co-presenter Jon Kay remarked: "That winter weather still causing problems this morning, Sally" prompting Sally to respond: "Absolutely right, Jon!
Further snow, ice and rain are causing more disruption across the UK this morning." A breaking news ticker then appeared on the screen, leading Sally to declare: "Manchester Airport says it has shut both of its runways for the second time in two days because of heavy snow in the area." Taking to Twitter, now X, on Monday morning, Manchester Airport provided an update for passengers, stating: "Our runways are temporarily closed due to heavy snow as our teams work hard to clear them as quickly as possible", reports the Express. "The safety of our passengers is our top priority and we appreciate your patience during this time.
