Viral children’s song Baby Shark is heading to TV as a new animated pre-school series.Nickelodeon network bosses have given a series order to Baby Shark Big Show!, which will follow the adventures of the titular character and his best friend, William, as they explore a land called Carnivore Cove.They will co-produce the series with officials at SmartStudy, the parent firm of South Korean kids’ brand Pinkfong, the brains behind the catchy incarnation of the old folk tune, which is thought to date back to at least the 1900s.Their version, titled Baby Shark Dance, was launched in 2016, but only went viral in 2018, subsequently becoming a hit on charts across the world, including in the U.K.
