Ayr children's home is performing at 'a very good level,' says Care Inspectorate

A children’s home in Ayrshire has been praised for the service it provides following an unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate.

Aspire-Clonmacate, a school care accommodation service based on Ayr's Dalmellington Road, was rated ‘very good’ across several quality indicators.Clonmacate is provided by Aspire Scotland and is a registered home for up to five young people aged eight to 18.At the time of the inspection, the service was providing support to three young people.An extract from the Care Inspectorate report said: “All three young people spoke with us, offering views of the service.“We were told by young people that they felt safe and secure in the house and each one indicated staff members they would confide in and turn to if
