AT&T has sold 100% of Vrio Corp. business in Latin America to Grupo Werthhein.Vrio provides live and on-demand video services via DirecTV Latin America, Sky Brasil and OTT service DirectTV GO in Brazil, Argentina, Barbados, Chile, Colombia, Curacao, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay.
Vrio’s broadband operations in Colombia and AT&T’s interest in Sky Mexico are not included in the transaction.The deal comes as AT&T – parent of WarnerMedia for at least a bit longer – is set to announce quarterly earnings Thursday.
