Aston Villa chief executive Christian Purslow insists he will resist plans to use neutral venues to finish the Premier League season.
Villa's CEO also reckons fellow struggling top-flight sides will also object to “a bunch of rule changes which may increase chances of relegation and a £200million catastrophe." Purslow has supported Villa boss Dean Smith's claims that the 19th-placed club want to complete the season, which has been halted by the coronavirus.
But six of Villa's remaining 10 games are at home as they have a game in hand after reaching the Carabao Cup final. And Purslow refuses to give up home advantage at Villa Park where the club have 30,000 season ticket holders and regularly sell-out their 42,000-capacity.
