Asteroid 'bigger than Empire State Building' to collide with Earth's orbit in New Year

asteroid estimated to be bigger than the Empire State Building is set to skim Earth's orbit in the New Year. NASA are tracking asteroid 2003 AF23, which is expected to rocket by on Sunday January 3, 2021, making it the first giant space rock of the year.

It is thought to be between 180m and 390m, which would make it taller than New York’s Empire State Building, which pierces the sky at 381m.
