The pair are said to be in talks to reduce food aisles by around a quarter to make space for more cafés, hair salons and even nail bars, according to the Sunday Times.
It's part of a wider plan to keep people shopping for longer and boost overall spending on the high street. According to the Mirror, the Big Four grocer has already been making space in stores for third party concessions such as Claire's Accessories and The Entertainer.
