You will struggle to find anyone involved with Arsenal – either inside the club or outside – who doesn’t think the Gunners need to sign several players this summer if they want to challenge for the Champions League places next season.
The north London side are currently ninth in the Premier League and even if they manage to leapfrog a couple of the sides above them on the final day on Sunday, it will still be considered a hugely disappointing campaign.
Add into the mix that players like Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos look unlikely to stay at Emirates Stadium beyond their existing loans and you could argue Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have a major overhaul on their hands.
