Inter Milan have reportedly offered Mauro Icardi to Arsenal as part of a deal that would see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go the other way.
Antonio Conte is hoping to swoop on Aubameyang's contract uncertainty by adding him to his squad at the San Siro, according to Tuttosport.
Arsenal have tabled a new deal for Aubameyang to consider, with his current contract due to expire in 2021. However with their captain stalling over an extension, Gunners chiefs are aware they may have to cut their losses this summer rather than lose him for nothing next year.
Obtaining Icardi in exchange would be an attractive prospect for Arsenal, given the Argentine has been displaying prolific form on loan at PSG.
