Arsenal are bracing themselves for a Gabriel Martinelli swoop after AC Milan were linked with a £43million for the Brazilian winger.
The Italian champions could be active on the final day of the summer transfer window after American investment firm RedBird Capital joined forces with the owners of the New York Yankees to complete a takeover of the club this week.

Arsenal are understood to have no intentions to sell Martinelli, though, and are instead keen to extend his current contract and offer him a pay rise.The 21-year-old currently has two years remaining on his deal, which he extended in July 2020, with the club also having the option to extend his contract by a further year through to the summer of 2025.Martinelli has started the new season in impressive form, starting all five of Arsenal's Premier League matches so far, scoring three goals along the way.
