Armed police are surrounding a block of flats with a man reportedly 'stood on a balcony edge with a machete'. Officers swooped on the flat in Brierley Hill in the West Midlands at around 3pm.
Negotiators are attempting to bring the incident to a safe conclusion, reports BirminghamLive. Officers say the man is standing on the wrong side of the railings.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Officers are currently outside a block of flats on Hill Street, Brierley Hill where a man is stood on the wrong side of the balcony railings armed with a machete. Are you at the scene of the incident?
