A fundraising drive has been launched for a mountain rescue volunteer who suffered life-changing injuries after falling while trying to help lockdown breachers.
Chris Lewis, 60, from the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team, was called out to help campers breaching lockdown rules after one of them suffered chest pains.
But Mr Lewis fell 150 metres down a steep slope while on the call-out to Red Screes above Kirkstone Pass in the Lake District in the early hours of Saturday February 6.
A fundraising drive has now been launched to help Mr Lewis - who suffered multiple facial fractures and damaged his spinal cord - with recovery, rehabilitation and care.
