A couple who moved in together after just four dates when lockdown struck during a weekend minibreak are happier than ever. When Lauren Arris Cartwright jumped on a plane from Northern Ireland to visit her boyfriend Dan in England she had only packed a small bag with a toothbrush and a few clothes.

But as the weekend unfolded it became clear her return flight would likely be cancelled - and the first national lockdown was announced on Monday.

The pair had met at a wedding three months earlier and got together for a handful of dates when they suddenly found themselves sharing a home.
