Steve Clarke reckons Scotland have been given a raw deal by FIFA rules. Clarke will have eight men walking a suspension tightrope against Denmark on Sunday with the threat of missing their March play-off showdown as a result.
The national boss has called up in-form Celtic ace Anthony Ralston as cover for suspended Nathan Patterson for the Hampden clash with the Danes.
Scotland are out to secure a seeding in the showdown for Qatar next March but Clarke is facing a massive selection dilemma. Skipper Andy Robertson, John McGinn, Billy Gilmour, Jack Hendry, Che Adams, Scott McTominay, Kevin Nisbet and Stephen O’Donnell are one booking away from being banned for the play-off after picking up yellow cards earlier in the campaign.
