Jose Mourinho had plenty of praise for Andy Robertson and Liverpool after they beat his Manchester United side back in December 2018.
The Red Devils were unable to keep up with Jurgen Klopp’s side as they went down 3-1 at Anfield in a breathless encounter. After the game, Mourinho singled out Robertson as he told the press: “Liverpool play 200mph with and without the ball. “I am still tired to look at Robertson.
He makes a 100m sprint per minute! Incredible.” The left-back has since gone from strength to strength to establish himself as one of the world’s best in his position.
And he has now responded to Mourinho’s comments, admitting they gave him a confidence boost but insisting his style comes simply from his love of the game.
