Liverpool could turn their attention to Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele. The Reds have missed out on a move for Timo Werner and although a permanent deal for Dembele could prove to be too expensive, the Catalan giants could offer a season-long loan to reduce their wage bill.
Germany striker Werner will cost the Blues a fee of £54m, which is believed to have put Liverpool off, suggesting that Jurgen Klopp will not have much money to spend when the transfer window opens.
Klopp could also be unwilling to disrupt his successful trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, which could also end up being the case with France intentional Dembele.
