Amy Huberman was watching Brian play rugby when Sadie was only hours old

Amy Huberman has given a rare insight into her life as a mum of three as she launches her new Mamia & Me podcast. The actress recalled how just hours after becoming a mum for the first time, when her daughter Sadie arrived a week early, she was watching Brian take part in the Six Nations!

She told The Irish Independent: ‘Brian was playing after being at the birth and I remember one of the midwives saying: “can you keep it down, you’re in a maternity ward.” I was so excited to become a mum but yes, I was scared.

I was definitely scared and I remember just thinking “I hope I’m up for this.” As it turns out the transition to motherhood wasn’t as seamless as Amy had hoped.
