They help celebrities declutter their closets and now Gemma Lilly and Charlotte Reddington, aka social media sensations the Style Sisters, are turning their attention to your home with a new homeware collaboration with Tesco. The best friends, who have worked with the likes of Vogue Williams, Amanda Holden and Jamie Oliver, say the key to a clutter-free zone is stylish storage solutions, and the collection, which includes 18 items priced from £5 to £25, aims to provide just that. “We want to shout about the positive benefits a tidy space can bring to your home, mind and wellbeing,” they say. “We’ve focused on textures to give the items a point of difference while still remaining good staples for the home.” Here, the duo share their top tips on creating a serene space using key pieces from the range.Theme your space If you’re not sure where to start, or you don’t keep up with interior trends, go for monochrome, as it’s such a classic and universally liked colour palette.
We aren’t trend-led and we also prefer to create a classic base that allows you to introduce different textures and colours over time.
We love that these pieces work collectively together without feeling too harsh and they also work independently – the monochrome gives such freedom to do this.
Don’t be afraid to detox The easiest way to avoid a house full of items you no longer need or want is regular detoxes. Far from being wasteful, we think of it as freeing up space and sending items on to homes that will make use of them, rather than them gathering dust in a box or garage.
