Amanda Holden's love for daring fashion took a turn for the worse when she suffered a tumble in her glossy heels on a busy street.
Recounting her mishap on Heart radio, the 53-year-old presenter was quick to clarify that she had simply "fallen over," and dismissed the idea that she's old enough to "have a fall."Reflecting on the events that led to her stumble, Amanda shared that she had wrapped up a voice-over session and was exiting the studio: "I came outside and I was wearing shoes that are patent leather.
Every now and then you catch them, they sort of stick."These same shoes, she noted, were familiar culprits in minor stumbles before: "I've tripped a number of times in these shoes, just a little sort of hiccup, but I was crossing the road and a car went past, and I fell in the middle of the road."In the incident that followed, Amanda's treacherous shoes flew off as she sustained cuts on both knees.
Despite being offered help by two considerate young gentlemen, Amanda decided she could manage on her own: "Then I had to go to quite an important meeting with a bleeding and scabby knee," she revealed, reports the Express.
