A number of Met Office weather warnings are in force today as more snow and ice is forecast across much of the UK. The yellow weather warnings have been issued amid a freezing cold snap across the country, as Artic air 'dominates the UK's weather'.
Greater Manchester is covered by an ice warning until 10am this morning, with icy stretches expected to cause 'some difficult travelling conditions' throughout the morning.
This warning also covers parts of Scotland, the East Midlands, the east of England, parts of the North East and North West, parts of Wales, the West Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber.
For areas covered by the warning, the Met Office said: "Icy stretches are expected to form on untreated surfaces during Wednesday evening and overnight into Thursday as temperatures drop below freezing. A yellow weather warning for frequent snow showers, possible hail and icy conditions is also in place for much of north and west Scotland until midday.
