He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

The latest national coronavirus lockdown easing, announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, happened on Monday March 29 - which was particularly timely for the four-day Easter break.

It means people can meet outdoors in groups of six or two households - which can comprise of more than six people. The Stay Home guidance has been replaced by Stay Local - which means day trips are on once more.
