dogs being dumped from the back of a van has triggered an RSPCA investigation.Heartbreaking CCTV shows the white van pull up into a street in Coventry, with a man then opening the back and shooing the dogs out into the street.He then returns to the van and drives away while the dogs run around in the middle of the road and some appear to try and follow the vehicle as it moves away.The dogs, which included spaniel and Yorkshire terrier types, stank of urine and poo and were covered in sores.Some of the dogs were microchipped but none were registered and so they have not been traced.The RSPCA has now released the footage which was originally recorded at 2.30 pm on December 30 last year, in Yewdale Crescent.RSPCA inspector Vicki Taylor said the dogs were in poor health and suspected to have been used by callous breeders to churn out puppies.Vicki said: "The footage is really shocking. To see the poor dogs in such obvious confusion and distress as the van pulls away is heartbreaking."Thankfully, a member of the public spotted what had happened and contacted the Police who were able to capture the dogs and bring them to our animal hospital where they are now getting the care they need."The dogs are a mix of different breeds, including spaniels and terriers."We suspect they have been used for breeding because of the condition they are in.
